A day off from bloggin

No travel today. Popped over to Oakland and had lunch with Paul Warner, always a fun time. The slowdown is a great time for architects to develop ideas and better processes, and Paul is doing both, while managing a few residential projects.

The picture is approaching San Fran on Hwy 1, just south of Pacifica. This was actually from yesterday, but I didn't take any photos today. I know, I know. More pictures.

Tomorrow I pack my bags and head up to Sacramento. I need to rest up for the marathon drive to Seattle on Wednesday and check on a "service engine soon" warning indicator. By phone, the service guy thought it probably had to do with the gas cap, and wasn't anything to worry about. Leave it to the Germans to have a warning light for the gas cap. But just the same, I'm going to have them check it out; I'd hate to find out there's more to it the hard way. Gotta hit Seattle by Wednesday night.

Lastly, a tip of the hat to Mark "The Bird" Fidrych. The guy threw a mean fastball, and didn't let it go to his head.
